- Your pet is fit and healthy for grooming unless otherwise disclosed.

2. Pet Health & Vaccination Requirements
Owners must inform us of any known health conditions, allergies, sensitivities, injuries, or behavioral concerns prior to the appointment.
For the safety of all pets and staff, proof of current rabies vaccination is required where mandated by law. Vaccination records must be valid and up to date at the time of the grooming appointment.
CoMi Pet Grooming reserves the right to refuse or cancel grooming services if vaccination records are expired, incomplete, or cannot be provided.
Grooming may expose pre-existing skin or health conditions. CoMi Pet Grooming is not responsible for medical issues that become apparent during or after grooming.
Senior pets or pets with medical conditions will be groomed with extra care, prioritizing comfort and safety. Services may be modified or discontinued if grooming is deemed unsafe for the pet.
3. Matting Policy
Matted coats can cause significant discomfort and may lead to skin irritation or other health concerns.
Removing matted fur may require shaving or closely trimming the coat for humane reasons. This process may:
- significantly change the pet’s appearance
- expose skin irritation or pre-existing conditions
- cause temporary sensitivity
Additional fees may apply for severely matted coats due to extra time and care required.
Owners are responsible for maintaining their pet’s coat between appointments.
4. Flea & Parasite Policy
If fleas, ticks, or other parasites are discovered during grooming, CoMi Pet Grooming reserves the right to:
- administer a flea treatment bath
- stop or modify the grooming service
- reschedule the appointment if necessary
Additional charges may apply for flea or parasite treatment and sanitation procedures required to maintain a safe environment for all pets.
Severe infestations may require veterinary treatment before grooming can continue.
5. Grooming Risks
Grooming involves the use of sharp tools and equipment. While every precaution is taken, grooming carries inherent risks.
Possible incidents may include:
- minor nicks or cuts
- clipper irritation
- nail quicking
- skin sensitivity
- stress-related reactions
Certain pets, including puppies, senior pets, anxious pets, or heavily matted pets, may have increased sensitivity during grooming.
By using our services, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
6. Aggressive or Difficult Pet Policy
Owners must inform us if their pet has a history of:
- aggression
- biting
- anxiety
- sensitivity to grooming
- behavioral challenges

The safety of pets and staff is our priority.

We will attempt to contact the owner prior to obtaining treatment when possible.
All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner.
CoMi Pet Grooming is not liable for the outcome of emergency medical treatment.
